This course is designed to help students who are interested in taking Calculus either in high school or in College. It is designed to give students a review of important math topics which will be needed in a college level calculus class. If Shafter students take this course and successfully pass a placement exam, at the end of the two weeks, they are guaranteed a spot in the AP Calculus class. The class is split into two parts (to take AP Calc at Shafter High both weeks must be completed successfully). Concepts taught are as follows: Part 1: Working with Polynomial, Rational, Exponential and Logarithm Functions Part 2: Trigonometric Functions

This course is instructed by James Egglston and is scheduled in two parts. Part 1: (Week 6) July 16 to July 20

Part 2: (Week 7) July 23 to July 27
