This literature course is designed to prepare students for the rigor of Gifted and Talented Education as a gateway into AP English and AP US History course work. In this class, students will engage in the reading of the novel, The Help, written by Kathryn Stockett. This reading will lend an ideal exploration through literary and historical perspectives to help students develop critical thinking skills. Students will be introduced to a variety of source material as they develop analytical reading and writing skills that will prepare them well for their future GATE and AP courses during the school year.

This course is instructed by Natalie Feinberg. Students may select to attend June 18 to June 22 or July 23 to July 27.
