This course is an introduction to the study of Marine Science. Marine Science is the study of the ocean, its ecosystems & life forms: also known as Oceanography. Marine Science consists of four branches of Oceanography: Biological: studies the diversity of life in the ocean and the ocean’s role as their habitat.
Chemical: studies the chemistry of the seawater.
Geological: concerns itself with the geology of the ocean (land mass).
Physical: studies the physics within the marine environment. This course will use hands on experiments, daily activities, videos, and direct instruction. We will be doing many fun and creative activities in which we discover how Marine Science aspects function and affects sea life.
