Summer Scholar Challenge
Calling all 2016-2017 K-8th grade students!
Here is your opportunity to earn a Have Dreams T-Shirt and a way to help your school earn the Summer Scholars Trophy.
How to earn your Have Dreams Shirt:
Accelerated Reader Goal: 5 AR points per grade level completed.
Gain points by taking AR tests. For example, a student who was in 1st grade in 2016-2017 would need 10 AR points to earn a t-shirt, a student who was in second grade in 2016-17 would need to earn 15 points, and so on.
AR points count for the contest starting June 2nd and through August 4th. The Redwood Library will be open this summer for students to work towards becoming a Summer Scholar and to help their school earn the trophy from June 5th-July 7th. From July 8th - August 4 students may visit the Shafter Learning Center.
Redwood Library Hours: June 5 - July 7th from 12pm-2pm.
Shafter Learning Center Hours: Monday - Thursday 8a-7p. Friday 8a-5:30p. Saturday 8a-12 & 1-5p.
Summer Scholar Trophy: The school with the most AR points per enrolled student will earn the right to have their school name printed on the Summer Scholar Trophy which will displayed at the Shafter Learning Center.
